On 11 January 2007, the US detention centre at Guantánamo Bay was five years old.
16 December 2006 marked the start of a month of worldwide protests with renewed calls on the US government to close Guantánamo. Activists from over 25 countries took a stand against the unlawful detentions at Guantánamo, calling for fair trials and justice for all.
And of course, it’s not over yet. There’s still a long way to go and we need as many people as possible on board.
